SONO (Hydration) Management: Kkeut Clinic's Differentiating Factors 1. Depending on your skin condition, we combine and penetrate two types of ampoules. We don't just use hyaluronic acid for dryness. We always deliver two ampoules tailored to your current skin condition deep into the dermis using ultrasound, simultaneously enhancing absorption and effectiveness. 2. After the procedure, we fix active ingredients with Jaoongo Modeling Pack. After ampoule penetration, we always finish with Jaoongo Modeling Pack. This aids in skin barrier recovery, soothing, and moisture retention, thereby boosting the long-lasting effect. 3. Handling speed and pressure are adjusted according to skin condition. We adjust the handling speed based on skin responses such as pores, redness, and inner dryness. We also adjust intensity considering the thickness of each facial area, implementing a standardized manual for the practitioner's technique. 4. Ampoules are applied at least twice per combination, and aloe gel is sufficiently replenished. We do not dilute ampoules to save them. Ampoules are calculated and used not merely as ‘the amount applied’ but as the amount that can penetrate. Aloe gel is also reapplied to each area to ensure the procedure is performed without ultrasonic loss. 5. Why high-density procedures are possible – our structure is different. Compared to competitors, we have a reservation system at about 1/3 the level, allowing us to focus on the procedure. One dedicated person handles everything from consultation to post-procedure care, flexibly adjusting in real-time to skin reactions. SONO (Hydration) Management: Why Kkeut Clinic is Different 1. Customized Ampoule Selection + Maximized Penetration. Kkeut Clinic is not a place that blindly uses only one hyaluronic acid ampoule just because the skin is dry. After diagnosing the patient's skin condition, we combine and use two ampoules that are absolutely necessary for the current skin condition from among hydration, brightening, soothing, and regenerative ampoules. For example, for skin with both dryness and redness, we use a hyaluronic acid-based hydration ampoule and an azulene-based soothing ampoule together. Through a combination that considers the synergistic effect of the two ampoules, we maximize both absorption and effectiveness. The selected ampoules are not simply applied, but penetrated into the dermal layer using ultrasound (SONO). This temporarily opens the skin barrier to help active ingredients be delivered deeply, inducing inner hydration and skin function recovery, not just superficial moisturization. 2. After care, absorption is fixed with Jaoongo Modeling Pack. At Kkeut Clinic, after SONO treatment, we always! apply Jaoongo Modeling Pack. This is the final step that helps active ingredients, deeply delivered into the skin by ultrasound, remain in the skin longer. Jaoongo is based on herbal medicines such as Sanguisorba officinalis, Licorice, Lithospermum erythrorhizon, and Astragalus propinquus, and is effective for skin regeneration, barrier strengthening, and inflammation reduction. When used with a modeling pack, it prevents moisture loss, stabilizes skin temperature, and further enhances the longevity and efficacy of the absorbed ampoules. It is not just a simple finishing pack. It is a therapeutic finish that fixes absorption. 3. Handling speed and pressure are adjusted according to skin condition. The core of SONO treatment is not merely delivering ultrasound to the skin, but how and to which skin it is delivered. At Kkeut Clinic, we adjust the handling speed differently according to the skin condition. For severely dry skin, we move slowly to allow the ultrasound to stay sufficiently, while for areas with large pores or excessive sebum secretion, we move faster to enhance penetration. For sensitive or red skin, we delicately adjust the pressure and speed to minimize irritation. Pressure is also not maintained uniformly, but adjusted in intensity according to the thickness and sensitivity of each facial area. This is because thin areas like the cheekbones and thick areas like the jawline can never achieve the same effect at the same speed. Kkeut Clinic systematizes all these processes by manualizing them instead of solely relying on the practitioner's sensory perception, enabling customized handling for each skin condition. 4. Ampoules and aloe gel: the exact amount used also differs. The core of SONO treatment is for ampoule ingredients to penetrate deep into the skin. If the amount of ampoule used is insufficient, skin friction occurs, absorption rates decrease, and ultrasonic energy is not properly delivered. At Kkeut Clinic, we apply ample aloe gel and ampoules, reapplying them to prevent the skin surface from drying out during the procedure. Especially when using a combination of two ampoules, each ingredient is applied at least twice to ensure sufficient penetration. Aloe gel is not applied sparingly, coating only the surface, but reapplied to each area to ensure the device head glides smoothly without interruption. There is absolutely no dilution of ampoules to save them. This is not simply a matter of ‘applying generously’ but a standard to ensure the accuracy and penetration power of the treatment. Rather than performing a ‘perfunctory’ treatment with small amounts, it is our principle to use more than the standard amount for definite results. 5. Kkeut Clinic's SONO allows for high-density treatment – our structure is different from the start. Many clinics may have the technology, but often, appointments are tightly booked, or multiple staff members attend to multiple patients simultaneously, leading to quick and careless management and procedures. Kkeut Clinic's structure itself is different. We limit the number of daily patients and operate with a reservation density of about 1/3 compared to competitors, providing a system where we can focus on the treatment without being rushed. Thanks to this, even during SONO management, we can observe the patient's skin reaction in real-time and flexibly adjust the irradiation mode, intensity, and handling pattern. Not missing moments when the skin reacts sensitively and being able to respond accordingly – that's what enables Kkeut Clinic's high-density care. Principle of SONO (Hydration) Management 1. Ultrasonic vibrations that ‘temporarily open’ the skin barrier. The ultrasound used in SONO treatment delivers micro-vibrational energy of 1-3MHz to the skin. These vibrations gently loosen the intercellular lipid structure of the skin surface, creating a path for high-molecular components like hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, and peptides to reach beyond the epidermis into the dermis. This is known as the Sonophoresis effect. 2. Thermal stimulation boosts absorption. Ultrasound generates subtle frictional heat within the skin, locally raising the temperature by about 1-3 degrees Celsius. This thermal stimulation increases blood flow and promotes cell metabolism, creating an environment where ampoule ingredients can penetrate better and remain longer. 3. Not just ‘adding’ moisture, but creating a ‘moisture-holding structure’. Hydration is not complete by simply supplying moisture. True hydration requires a skin structure that can hold moisture. The dermal layer of the skin contains moisture storage structures composed of collagen, hyaluronic acid, and glycosaminoglycans (GAGs). The subtle mechanical stimulation of ultrasound stimulates fibroblasts in the dermis, inducing collagen production and ECM (Extracellular Matrix) restructuring where hyaluronic acid exists. As a result, the skin recovers its ‘moisture retention infrastructure’ to hold and maintain moisture longer. Recommended for SONO (Hydration) Management 1. ‘Inner-dry oily skin’ that is shiny on the outside but tight on the inside. If your skin appears oily on the surface but makeup flakes and you feel tightness deep inside, your skin's dermal layer has reduced moisture retention capacity. SONO hydration management helps moisturize from within by penetrating hyaluronic acid deep into the dermis. 2. Skin that remains dry despite applying numerous moisturizers. If your skin quickly becomes dry or flaky even after applying moisturizing cream, your skin barrier may be compromised or absorption pathways blocked. Ultrasound temporarily loosens the barrier, opening a path for ampoules to actually be absorbed. 3. Skin that has become sensitive after treatments such as laser or peeling. When skin is red and sensitive or regeneration feels slow after a procedure, SONO hydration management penetrates soothing + regenerative ampoules into the dermal layer to accelerate skin recovery and alleviate heat and irritation. 4. Skin where makeup doesn't adhere well and foundation tends to float. One reason why makeup lifts or slides on the skin is irregular skin texture and insufficient inner hydration. Receiving SONO hydration management the day before an important event can make your skin feel plump and significantly improve makeup adherence. 5. Those whose skin condition rapidly deteriorates with seasonal changes. Skin that reacts sensitively to environmental changes, such as during seasonal transitions, monsoon season, or winter, often has a fragile barrier and dermal moisture state. Regular SONO treatment helps maintain stable skin condition, unperturbed by seasonal changes. 6. Sensitive skin that easily reddens or feels tight from daily irritants. If your skin frequently reddens and gets irritated by factors like fine dust, stress, or lack of sleep, your skin's defense capabilities may be low. SONO soothing ampoules and micro-stimulation from ultrasound quickly stabilize irritated skin. Differences between SONO (Hydration) Management, LDM, and Ionto (Whitening) Management? SONO (Ultrasonic) Management – Penetrates high-molecular moisturizing ingredients into the dermis. Operating Principle: Delivers 1-3MHz ultrasonic vibrations to the skin. Temporarily separates intercellular lipid structures, allowing large molecular weight moisturizing ingredients like hyaluronic acid to penetrate into the dermis. This is called the Sonophoresis effect. Suitable Ingredients: High-molecular water-soluble ampoules such as hyaluronic acid, EGF, peptides, azulene. Focuses on moisture retention and skin barrier recovery. Indications: Inner dryness, tightness, flakiness, compromised barrier, post-procedure soothing and hydration. Iontophoresis (Ionto) – Specialized for penetrating low-molecular ionic brightening ingredients. Operating Principle: Passes direct current (DC) through the skin, pushing cationic and anionic ingredients deep into the skin using electrostatic repulsion. Suitable Ingredients: Ionized low-molecular ingredients such as Vitamin C, arbutin, tranexamic acid, glutathione. Most brightening ingredients carry an electric charge, hence react to current. Indications: Melasma, hyperpigmentation, dull skin tone improvement. Amplifies brightening effect when combined with laser toning. LDM (Local Dynamic Micro-massage) – Specialized for inflammation control and tissue recovery. Operating Principle: Frequency switching hundreds to thousands of times per second. Stabilizes fibroblasts, inhibits inflammatory mediators (MMPs, TNF-α, etc.). Acts to regenerate skin and strengthen the barrier. Suitable Ingredients: Primarily aims to induce tissue response rather than ingredient input. Synergistic effect when combined with soothing and regenerative ampoules. Indications: Acne, atopic dermatitis, sensitive skin, inner dryness. Post-laser heat reduction, redness decrease.
