Pigmentation Toning, Kkeut Clinic's Differentiating Factors 1. Structure for high-density treatment: Our 1:1 dedicated consultation and ample reservation system allow for precise and highly focused treatments without rushing. 2. Three-stage toning system by area: We customize Dual·Fractional·Basic Toning according to the characteristics of each area, minimizing irritation and maximizing treatment effects. 3. Minimum 1500 shots, an evidence-based standard: Based on clinical evidence that pigmentation response becomes significant with an accumulated 1000-1500 shots, we apply a principle of over 1500 shots per area. 4. Progress is tracked through records: For body areas, we manage the changes through before-and-after photos as data, systematically adjusting the treatment plan and response. 5. Time is a promise: A 5% discount per 10 minutes for waits exceeding 10 minutes is not just a service, but our standard and commitment to valuing our patients' time. Pigmentation Toning, What makes Kkeut Clinic different? 1. The reason for high-density treatment – it starts with a different structure: Kkeut Clinic limits the number of patients per day, and the director personally conducts consultations, pursuing a 1:1 customized treatment system. With a reservation system that is about 1/3 the level of competitors, we have a structure that allows us to focus on the treatment without being rushed. Because we can flexibly adjust the irradiation mode, intensity, and pattern while observing real-time reactions, precise and high-density treatments are possible. 2. Three-stage toning system by area – different, more precise depending on the area: Body pigmentation varies by area. The skin may be thin or thick, the pigment deep or spread out, or it may be sensitive to irritation. Considering these differences, Kkeut Clinic conducts treatments not with a single mode, but with a system composed of ‘three types of toning per area’. 1) Dual Toning (RTP): Dual Toning is applied to thin and sensitive areas like the underarms and groin. The RTP method, which shoots twice at one location, precisely targets only melanin without thermal irritation and does not stimulate melanocytes, making it effective for post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH). 2) Fractional Toning: For areas with thick skin and deep pigmentation like the knees, elbows, and buttocks, Fractional 1064 Toning is used. It delivers high-density energy to a single point, reaching the dermis, and you can expect both pigmentation improvement and collagen remodeling effects. 3) Basic Toning (1064nm Uniform Irradiation): For areas with shallow or spread pigmentation, or dull overall tone, basic laser toning gently evens out the overall tone. Additionally, when combined with other toning treatments, it plays a stabilizing role in preventing pigmentation recurrence. Why are ‘3 types’ needed? Body pigmentation has different causes and conditions. Kkeut Clinic divides areas and deploys different methods tailored to their characteristics, designing treatments that reduce unnecessary irritation and precisely deliver what is needed. Even with the same laser, the results vary depending on how it's applied. 3. Minimum 1500 shots – based on a meaningful treatment dose: Kkeut Clinic adheres to the principle of at least 1500 shots per area for body pigmentation treatment. This is not just a number, but a figure based on clinical evidence, such as the study by Kauvar et al., Dermatol Clin (2012), which shows a significant pigmentation response when accumulated irradiation exceeds 1000-1500 shots. Considering the distribution, depth, and skin response speed of pigmentation, we precisely design and apply a meaningful treatment dose. 4. Treatment progress is tracked with records: Since it is often difficult to verify body areas with diagnostic equipment, Kkeut Clinic tracks progress through individual before-and-after photos. This process is not just a simple comparison, but is used as data for evaluating treatment response and adjusting the treatment plan. Pigmentation Toning, Kkeut Clinic Treatment Principle – Precise design that multistage inhibits pigment production·transfer·residual pigment, rather than simple removal. 1. Selectively destroys only melanin: Low-power laser toning with a 1064nm wavelength precisely selects and repeatedly irradiates only melanin. Only the pigment is gradually broken down without damaging surrounding tissues, and the skin tone gradually becomes uniform. → Targets only melanin / Stable with no skin irritation 2. Destroys only pigment without stimulating cells: Energy is delivered in nanoseconds, destroying only the melanin within the cells without stimulating melanocytes. → Low risk of regeneration, stable treatment possible without side effects 3. Blocks the ‘pathway’ of pigmentation: Melanin travels to the skin surface through dendrites. Laser toning partially inhibits this transfer pathway, blocking new pigmentation from appearing. → Removes existing pigment + inhibits new pigment + blocks transfer Pigmentation Toning, Kkeut Clinic's Special Toning Modes Dual Toning (RTP Mode): A method of shooting twice at one location, where energy is low but the treatment effect is maintained. It can be applied to sensitive areas without irritation and is effective for PIH (post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation). → Safe and precise for thin and sensitive areas Fractional Toning (Fractional 1064 Handpiece): It finely divides energy and deeply delivers it to the dermis layer. In addition to pigment removal, collagen remodeling and skin texture improvement are also performed. → Suitable for areas with thick, deep pigmentation + requiring tissue regeneration Pigmentation Toning, Recommended Treatment Cycle General: 1-2 week intervals, total of 10 or more sessions recommended: Laser toning is a low-power, repetitive irradiation method, so pigment particle breakdown is minimal with a single session, and noticeable changes appear after at least 5-10 repeated sessions. The 1-2 week interval considers the time it takes for macrophages to process pigment after melanin breakdown and the skin regeneration cycle (around 7-14 days). For overall tone refinement and maintenance: Maintenance treatment (Maintenance Toning) at 3-6 week intervals: Purpose: Prevent pigment re-deposition and improve skin texture after treatment completion. Pigmentation Toning Treatment Process 1. Optional Anesthesia if needed (Topical Anesthesia): If you have sensitive areas or are concerned about pain, you can choose topical anesthesia before the procedure. After a short waiting time, the procedure will be performed with minimized pain. 2. Area Diagnosis and Treatment Design: Based on pigment depth, skin thickness, and sensitivity, one of the three toning treatment modes (Basic·RTP·Fractional) is determined. Laser intensity·number of shots·handpiece are customized for each area. 3. Targeting Focus Areas with Mirror Confirmation: The patient and practitioner will look in a mirror together to identify and confirm the most concerning pigmented areas. The plan is adjusted to allow for intensive treatment on those specific areas. 4. Optional Anesthesia if needed (Topical Anesthesia): If you have sensitive areas or are concerned about pain, you can choose topical anesthesia before the procedure. After a short waiting time, the procedure will be performed with minimized pain. 5. Laser Toning Treatment (Over 1500 shots per area): Basic toning is the default, with RTP or Fractional toning combined depending on the area's characteristics. Sufficiently and without irritation — at least 1500 shots are irradiated. 6. Post-treatment Area Check and Explanation: We will directly explain the mode and handpiece used, intensity, and total number of shots immediately after the procedure. Depending on the reaction, immediate cooling and post-treatment guidance will also be provided. 7. Progress Tracking and Comparison (Upon Request): For body areas, since diagnostic imaging is often difficult, we can assist with comparing progress photos at the 5th·10th session milestones if desired. Recommended for Pigmentation Toning if you... 1. ...are concerned about underarm or bikini line pigmentation after hair removal: This treatment is suitable for cases of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) caused by repeated irritation after shaving or waxing. 2. ...have pigmentation on your buttocks or inner thighs due to sitting posture, tight underwear, etc.: Precise laser toning is necessary for structures where pressure + friction have repeatedly caused pigmentation to reach the dermal layer. 3. ...have darkened décolletage or flanks due to friction from sportswear or bra straps: Shallow and widely spread pigmentation can be evenly refined with toning. 4. ...have thick skin and old pigmentation on areas like the knees, elbows, and ankles: This requires fractional toning for deep dermal pigmentation, and consistent accumulated irradiation is effective. 5. ...are concerned about residual pigmentation from acne marks on the back·buttocks or acne scars: This treatment is suitable for treating residual pigment marks + textural imbalance after repeated inflammation. 6. ...have body pigmentation concerns that have not improved with whitening products or home care: This indicates a need for laser treatment that directly targets melanin within the skin. 7. ...don't just want to ‘whiten’ their body pigmentation, but want to resolve noticeably ‘darkened areas’: If you are more concerned about specific areas appearing dark or patchy rather than overall brightness, body toning can be a definite solution. Precautions After Treatment • You can wash your face/apply makeup on the same day after the procedure, and we recommend paying close attention to sun protection. • We recommend paying extra attention to soothing and moisturizing temporarily irritated skin. • Swelling or redness may occur after the procedure, but it will naturally subside over time, so please don't worry too much. If it persists for several days, please contact us for guidance.
